IAEA Artemis Mission

From November 20th – 30th 2022 an IAEA Artemis peer review mission to Austria took place which had been requested by Austria under Article 14.3 of the Council Directive 2011/70Euratom. During the mission, in which NES took part and was reviewed as well, the facilities of NES were visited by the review team, IAEA participants and the observers. In regard to the part of the review that involved NES, the excellent and robust control of operations in the facilities visited has been commended as well as the high level of competence and attention to safe operation. Employees were also commended for their efforts regarding waste minimization and the robust storage arrangements at NES were seen as a good performance for Austria.
